Julian Fernandez Drops League-Best Performance on Friday

Starting off the list is Corcoran's Julian Fernandez, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Fernandez picked up a sack, forced a fumble, and made four total tackles.

Corcoran now has a winning record of 4-3. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Panthers challenges Orosi at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Colunga Posts Huge Game in 20-19 Loss

While Isaiah Colunga delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Strathmore. Colunga was unstoppable, rushing for 47 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 165 yards on seven of 19 attempts.

With the loss, Strathmore broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2. Colunga and Strathmore will challenge Granite Hills at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Jose Cortes Makes It Two for Lindsay

The second Lindsay player making an appearance here is Jose Cortes, and for good reason. He rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry.

Farmersville's probably not too fond of Cortes given he always seems to get the better of them. Cortes rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries the last time he and the Aztecs duked it out back in October of 2023.
