Preview: Louise Hornets vs. Ganado Indians

Louise is 1-9 against Ganado since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Louise Hornets' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Ganado Indians at 6:15 p.m. on December 5th. Hopefully Louise focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Friday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 53-21, which was the final score in Louise's tilt against St. Joseph.

Louise's loss came about despite a quality game from Madison Grant, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 19 rebounds. Grant is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Ganado beat Needville 28-23 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Ganado.

Ganado relied on the efforts of Annalyse Thedford, who scored 3 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals, and Zoey Ybarra, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds. Ybarra is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Bloomington's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Louise's defeat dropped theirs to 6-4.

This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Louise have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 39.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Ganado struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.9 per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out. Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.

Louise suffered a grim 50-28 defeat to Ganado in their previous matchup back in January. Can Louise avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
