Basketball Recap: Brownstown's Winning Streak Snapped at 16 Games

After a string of 16 wins, Brownstown's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to the St. Anthony Bulldogs 49-44. The Bombers were probably out for revenge after losing 80-67 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Brownstown still got an impressive performance from Dayana Haslett, who posted 29 points. Haslett has been hot for a while, having posted 20 or more points the last 16 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Miller, who earned ten points.

Brownstown's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 20-3. As for St. Anthony, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Brownstown has already played their next match (against North Clay), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. Anthony has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Pana.
