Basketball Recap: South Winneshiek Comes Up Short

If South Winneshiek was riding high fresh off their 51-12 takedown of Postville last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The South Winneshiek Warriors fell 51-38 to the Crestwood Cadets on Monday. The Warriors have struggled against the Cadets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

South Winneshiek's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Crestwood, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

South Winneshiek has already played their next contest, a 48-36 loss against MFL MarMac on the 21st. As for Crestwood, they will face off against Charles City at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
