Softball Recap: Valley Christian Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Valley Christian had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They put the hurt on the Snowflake Lobos with a sharp 11-1 win. Considering the Trojans have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Valley Christian got a massive performance out of Sophie Kercsmar, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one double. Abrielle Jarles was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Valley Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Snowflake only posted a batting average of .211.

Valley Christian's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Snowflake, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Valley Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 15-0 victory against Coolidge on the 14th. As for Snowflake, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Show Low on the 15th.
