Ropes came out on top against Tahoka on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run first inning. The Eagles put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 14-2 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 games by eight runs or more this season.

Ropes is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Tahoka, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-9.
