Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Katella

Katella extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Dillon Curtis. The Katella Knights pulled ahead with a 46-45 photo finish over the El Rancho Dons on Friday thanks in part to Curtis, who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine boards. Those 27 points gave him a new career-high.

El Rancho's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adam Rivas, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Troy Barajas, who posted 12 points.

Katella has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for El Rancho, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Katella wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 73-35 win against Saddleback on the 28th. As for El Rancho, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-40 victory against Paramount on the 28th.
