Basketball Recap: Russellville Comes Up Short

Russellville lost against Greenwood back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Russellville Cyclones had to suffer through a 99-42 loss at the hands of the Greenwood Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Cyclones can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 26th).

Russellville's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Greenwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Russellville will venture away from home to challenge Harrison at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenwood, they will welcome Mountain Home at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Home will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Greenwood surely won't give up without a fight.
