Soccer Game Preview: North vs. Shepherd Hill Regional

The North Polar Bears are taking a road trip to face off against the Shepherd Hill Regional Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Wednesday, North was able to grind out a solid win over Burncoat, taking the game 3-1. Given North's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Burncoat are ranked 224th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous 14 contest, Shepherd Hill Regional brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over Marlborough on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for Shepherd Hill Regional as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

North's record now sits at 6-2-5. As for Shepherd Hill Regional, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-8-4.

North skirted past Shepherd Hill Regional 2-1 when the teams last played back in September of 2018. Will the Polar Bears repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
