Volleyball Recap: Millennium Tigers vs. Apollo Hawks
Millennium won the last time they faced Apollo and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hawks.
One reason for the win was Millennium's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 25-15.
Isaac Sanchez paced Millennium's offense, picking up 19 kills. Sanchez got some help from Lucas Chavez and his 20 assists.
Apollo's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jesus Jacinto, who had 23 digs. Jacinto is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 12 or more in each of the last ten games he's played. Tuinisautu Carter also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.
