Soccer Game Preview: Pilot Point vs. Celina

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Pilot Point duke it out with the Celina at 7:15 p.m. on Friday... Pilot Point comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Tuesday, Pilot Point didn't have quite enough to beat Aubrey and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 703rd, while the Chaparrals are ranked 291st).

Celina, on the other hand, haven't lost since January 3rd and they too continued that trend. Their defense stepped up to hand Gainesville a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday.

Celina has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-1-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those seven contests. As for Pilot Point, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
