With a playoff win on the line, J.H. Rose rose to the challenge on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the South Brunswick Cougars. Winning may never get old, but the Rampants sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Parker Simo looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Parker Watson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

J.H. Rose's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for South Brunswick, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season.
