Softball Recap: Tompkins' Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Tompkins proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 15) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cinco Ranch Cougars, sneaking past 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Falcons sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Tompkins pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Cinco Ranch, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

Tompkins will be playing at home against Katy Taylor at 6:15 p.m. on the 17th. As for Cinco Ranch, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 12-11 defeat against Mayde Creek on the 11th.
