Softball Game Preview: River View Panthers vs. Liberty Bell Mountain Lions

The River View Panthers will head out to face off against the Liberty Bell Mountain Lions at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (River View has four straight wins, Liberty Bell has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Friday, River View made easy work of Umatilla and carried off a 19-4 victory. Fans of the Panthers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

The team relied heavily on Danika Koch, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Lauren Overstreet was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

River View hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Liberty Bell lost 17-2 to Tonasket on Saturday.

Liberty Bell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for River View, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
