Volleyball Game Preview: Sioux Valley Cossacks vs. Mobridge-Pollock Tigers

The Sioux Valley Cossacks will head out on the road to face off against the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sioux Valley is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Sioux Valley lost 3-0 to Baltic on Thursday.

Sioux Valley was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-23, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Mobridge-Pollock came up short against Roncalli on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered against the Cavaliers since October 13, 2020.

Mobridge-Pollock's loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Sioux Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.

Sioux Valley couldn't quite get it done against Mobridge-Pollock when the teams last played back in September of 2023 as they fell 2-0. Can the Cossacks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
