Basketball Game Preview: Thompson Tommies vs. Kindred Vikings

Thompson is 0-4 against Kindred since January of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Thompson Tommies are taking a road trip to face off against the Kindred Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Thompson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.8 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, Thompson earned a 45-37 victory over Stanley. The 45-point effort marked the Tommies' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Karter Peterson was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds. Drew Odenbach was another key player, putting up six points and 13 rebounds.

Thompson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Kindred put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 63-56 win over Killdeer.

Thompson's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Kindred, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Thompson took a serious blow against Kindred in their previous matchup back in January, falling 74-41. Can Thompson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
