Recap: Park View Patriots vs. Rock Ridge Phoenix
It was a good run, but the Park View Patriots unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 43-26 bruising from Rock Ridge. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Park View has scored all season.
Park View's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anna Helstrom, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. The game was Helstrom's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra Hurley, who scored six points along with five steals.
Park View struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Park View's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-1. As for Rock Ridge, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Park View will be playing in front of their home fans against Unity Reed at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rock Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Stone Bridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
