Basketball Game Preview: Escambia County Blue Devils vs. W.S. Neal Eagles

Escambia County has gone 10-0 against W.S. Neal recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Both will face off at 7:00 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Escambia County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.9 points per game this season.

Escambia County is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since December 4, 2023 on Tuesday. They skirted past Orange Beach 53-50.

Escambia County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cleo Bolar led the charge by putting up 23 points along with six boards and five steals. The contest was Bolar's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caliente McCants, who posted 12 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, W.S. Neal's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 70-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pleasant Home.

W.S. Neal's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4. As for Escambia County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Escambia County took their win against W.S. Neal in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 50-27. Will Escambia County repeat their success, or does W.S. Neal have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
