NCSSM: Durham won the last time they faced Raleigh Charter and things went their way on Friday too. The Unicorns blew past the Phoenix 3-0. The game marked the Unicorns' most dominant victory of the season so far.

While NCSSM: Durham won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 27-25, 25-9.

Leira Smith paced NCSSM: Durham's offense, picking up eight kills. Smith got some help from Anthien Nguyen and her 16 assists. Nguyen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

The win got NCSSM: Durham back to even at 3-3. As for Raleigh Charter, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
