NCSSM: Durham won the last time they faced Raleigh Charter and things went their way on Friday too. The Unicorns blew past the Phoenix 3-0. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Unicorns yet this season.

NCSSM: Durham never let Raleigh Charter on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 27-25, 25-9.

Leira Smith paced NCSSM: Durham's offense, picking up eight kills. Smith got some help from Anthien Nguyen and her 16 assists. Nguyen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

The win got NCSSM: Durham back to even at 3-3. As for Raleigh Charter, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. NCSSM: Durham will host Neuse Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Raleigh Charter, they will square off against Research Triangle Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
