While Chico's victory against Red Bluff wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Spartans on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since September 12th.

Chico was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 20-25, 22-25, 25-13, 15-5.

Among those leading the charge was Emma Young, who had six digs and three aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

Chico now has a winning record of 15-14. As for Red Bluff, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-22.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Chico is set to take on their familiar foe Foothill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Red Bluff will face off against rival Enterprise at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
