Recap: Ellinwood Eagles vs. Otis-Bison Cougars
The Ellinwood Eagles's game last Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 55-48 win over Otis-Bison. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Ellinwood considering their 24-point performance the contest before.
Ellinwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Julia Schlessiger led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Schlessiger scored 15 or more points. Reece Stickney was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Ellinwood's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Otis-Bison, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Ellinwood on the road again on Saturday and play against Victoria at 4:00 p.m. on January 20th. Victoria is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Otis-Bison, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against LaCrosse.
