Softball Recap: Hawkins Comes Up Short

Hawkins lost to Alba-Golden on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hawks lost 10-1 to the Panthers. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hawkins saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Becca Jordan, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Hawkins' defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Alba-Golden, they pushed their record up to 11-10-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Hawkins will challenge Cumby at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.67 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Alba-Golden, they are taking a road trip to challenge Martins Mill at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
