Lauralton Hall takes loss despite strong performances from Lauren Marsden and Katelyn Landin

Recap: Lauralton Hall Crusaders vs. Amity Regional Spartans

The Lauralton Hall Crusaders lost against the Amity Regional Spartans back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Lauralton Hall lost to Amity Regional on the road by a decisive 52-34 margin. While losing is never fun, Lauralton Hall can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Amity Regional is ranked 42nd).

Lauralton Hall's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Katelyn Landin, who scored 16 points, and Lauren Marsden who scored nine points along with five rebounds.

Lauralton Hall has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Amity Regional, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Lauralton Hall didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 45-44 defeat vs. Guilford on the 9th. Amity Regional has also already played their next match, a 41-34 victory against North Haven on the 8th.
