Newton HomeSchool can bid farewell to their ten-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They escaped with a win against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent by the margin of a single free throw, 49-48. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on Friday, they had to take a 40-36 defeat.

Leading Newton HomeSchool to victory were Theo Busenitz and Ephraim Oller. Busenitz posted nine points along with eight boards and four steals, while Oller dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Busenitz a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Cameron Fistler, who earned ten points and six rebounds.

Newton HomeSchool was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
