Basketball Recap: Gresham Takes a Loss

Gresham was the 70-64 winner over Clackamas when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Gresham Gophers fell 85-73 to the Clackamas Cavaliers on Tuesday.

Gresham has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for Clackamas, they moved to 8-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gresham will venture away from home to face off against Nelson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Nelson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Gresham likes a good challenge. As for Clackamas, they will head out to square off against Reynolds at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Clackamas is facing Reynolds at the right time seeing as Reynolds is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
