Volleyball Game Preview: University Christian Barracudas vs. Hickory Christian Academy Knights

The University Christian Barracudas will head out to face off against the Hickory Christian Academy Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

University Christian had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt North Hills Christian on Thursday. The Barracudas put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win. The Barracudas haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Hickory Christian Academy made easy work of Statesville Christian on Friday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Hickory Christian Academy walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-11.

University Christian better focus on containing Anna Kate Duralia and Kamryn Sain as the pair were huge in Hickory Christian Academy's win. Duralia had six digs and two aces, while Sain had eight digs and two assists. That's the most assists Sain has posted since back in August.

Hickory Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 15 aces in three consecutive matches.

University Christian's record now sits at 8-3. As for Hickory Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

University Christian might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Hickory Christian Academy in their previous meeting on September 12th. Can the Barracudas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
