Basketball Recap: Stockton Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Stockton won the last time they faced Sarcoxie and things went their way on Friday too. The Stockton Tigers came out on top against the Sarcoxie Bears by a score of 49-36. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Bears are ranked 464th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stockton is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Sarcoxie, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Stockton will challenge Lockwood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sarcoxie, they will face off against Lighthouse Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lighthouse Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.6 points per game this season.
