Recap: Herlong Vikings vs. Portola Tigers
This season hasn't been kind to the Herlong Vikings, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They were outmatched by Portola on the road and fell 66-26. Herlong was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-12.
It was another big night for Connor Sheridan, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 16 rebounds for Portola. The matchup was Sheridan's 15th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Magnus Berg, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Herlong's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Portola, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Herlong will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Loyalton at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Portola won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Oroville at 2:30 p.m. on December 30th.
