Football Recap: Midland Christian's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

Midland Christian won the last time they faced Trinity Christian and things went their way on Friday too. The Mustangs snuck past the Lions with a 36-30 win. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Lions are ranked 607th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Midland Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.2 points over those games. As for Trinity Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
