Volleyball Recap: First Christian Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Thursday. First Christian took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hope Christian Academy. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Hope Christian Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in August.

First Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-21.

First Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Hope Christian Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. First Christian will take on rival Westwood Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hope Christian Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Northside Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
