Basketball Game Preview: Branson Pirates vs. Logan-Rogersville Wildcats

Branson is 2-8 against Logan-Rogersville since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Branson Pirates will square off against the Logan-Rogersville Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Branson sitting on three straight wins and Logan-Rogersville on nine.

Last Friday, Branson strolled past Marshfield with points to spare, taking the game 73-54. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Bluejays are ranked 341st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Logan-Rogersville made easy work of Carl Junction on Friday and carried off a 67-42 victory. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Logan-Rogersville pushed their record up to 17-2 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Branson, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Branson suffered a grim 54-34 defeat to Logan-Rogersville when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Branson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
