Baseball Recap: Oakwood Comes Up Short

Oakwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yorkville Christian Mustangs.

Chase Harrison was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Carsen Dudley, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Oakwood's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Yorkville Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Oakwood didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-1 defeat against Heyworth on the 10th. As for Yorkville Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Wheaton Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
