Volleyball Recap: River Falls Falls Short Against Ranked Hamilton

River Falls faced Hamilton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Chargers. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Chargers: they've now lost three in a row.

Olivia Doerre and Adia Johnson certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Doerre had 16 digs and one assist, while Johnson had six digs. Doerre has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last three times she's played.

River Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 23-5. As for Hamilton, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-3.

River Falls is on the road again on Saturday to play Waukesha West at 2:00 p.m. As for Hamilton, they will be taking part in a tournament against Arrowhead at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last three games the Warhawks have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
