Softball Recap: Harmony Grove's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Harmony Grove was feeling good fresh off their 17-9 takedown of Jessieville on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Atkins Red Devils on Tuesday. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2017.

Harmony Grove's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5. As for Atkins, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harmony Grove will challenge Robinson at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Senators have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Atkins, they will face off against Clarksville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
