Softball Recap: Strawberry Crest Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Strawberry Crest finally came back down to earth on Monday. They lost 11-0 to the Newsome Wolves. The Chargers were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolves from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Strawberry Crest moved to 7-10 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Newsome, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4.

Looking ahead, Strawberry Crest will venture away from home to challenge Wesley Chapel at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Newsome, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alonso at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
