Softball Recap: Cathedral Prep Ramblers vs. North East Grape Pickers
Cathedral Prep's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the North East Grape Pickers with a sharp 9-3 win.
Morgan Madura made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Eva Donikowski was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Addison Baldi also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
