Volleyball Recap: Ella Murray and Tessa Cochran Secure Win for Jupiter Christian + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Benjamin, Jupiter Christian was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Somerset Academy - Canyons Cougars with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2015.

Jupiter Christian walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-11, 25-17.

Leading Jupiter Christian to victory were Tessa Cochran and Ella Murray. Cochran had four aces and three digs, while Murray had six digs and two aces. That's the most aces Murray has posted since back in September. Lily Gallagher also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Jupiter Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are 5-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Somerset Academy - Canyons' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avery Wood, who had nine assists.

Jupiter Christian's win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 9-10. As for Somerset Academy - Canyons, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-8.

Jupiter Christian has already played their next match (against Somerset College Prep Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Somerset Academy - Canyons, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Highlands Christian on the 7th.
