Softball Game Preview: Webster County Trojans vs. Caldwell County Tigers

The Webster County Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Caldwell County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Webster County will be strutting in after a win while Caldwell County will be coming in after a loss.

Last Saturday, Webster County got the win against Lincoln County by a conclusive 9-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Caldwell County's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of Livingston Central by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tigers have suffered since April 22, 2024.

Harper Holeman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Carlee Palm also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Webster County's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Caldwell County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Everything went Webster County's way against Caldwell County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Webster County made off with an 8-2 win. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
