Charlestown and Austin are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. The Charlestown Pirates will challenge the Austin Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Charlestown has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Charlestown will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating North Harrison, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Charlestown walked away with a 76-68 win over North Harrison on Thursday. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Cougars are ranked 295th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Charlestown's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from AJ Todd, who posted 17 points along with five boards and four steals. Todd continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Parker Odle was another key player, going 8 for 11 on his way to 21 points.

Meanwhile, Austin came up short against Eastern on Saturday and fell 63-53. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Musketeers: they've now lost five in a row.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Charlestown, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.

Charlestown beat Austin 63-50 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Charlestown since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
