Football Game Preview: Romeoville Spartans vs. Oswego East Wolves + How To Watch

Romeoville is 0-5 against Oswego East since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Spartans will square off against the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Neither Romeoville nor Oswego East posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Romeoville is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Joliet West on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Spartans had to suffer through a 41-10 loss at the hands of the Tigers. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-7.

Romeoville's loss came about despite a quality game from Richard Conley, who threw for 214 yards on 18 of 40 attempts, and also punched in one TD on the ground.

Meanwhile, Oswego East lost 32-7 to Bolingbrook on Friday. The matchup marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Romeoville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Oswego East, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Romeoville took a serious blow against Oswego East in their previous meeting back in August of 2019, falling 54-0. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
