Basketball Recap: Churchill Takes a Loss

Churchill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 84-23 loss at the hands of the North Eugene Highlanders. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Highlanders are ranked 121st).

Churchill's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for North Eugene, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Churchill will take on Crater at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Crater will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Churchill surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Eugene, they will challenge Eagle Point at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
