After a string of six wins, Hancock's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northside Mustangs. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Northside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Evy Chan led the charge by getting five digs and two aces. That's the most aces Chan has posted over her last six matchups.

Hancock's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Northside, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-11.

Hancock wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Rickover Naval on the 14th. As for Northside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Victoria Soto on the 14th.
