Vallivue strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Caldwell Cougars 21-1. Considering the Falcons have won six games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

J.J. Bittick tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, Vallivue got a massive performance out of Colt Augustus, who scored a run and stole a base while going 4-for-5. The dominant performance also gave Augustus a new career-high in RBI (three). Aaron Rayo was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Vallivue always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in five consecutive matches.

Vallivue's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Caldwell, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Coming up, Vallivue will challenge Emmett at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons are facing the Huskies at the right time seeing as the Huskies are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Caldwell, they will take on Nampa at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
