Hampton County won the last time they faced Lake Marion and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hurricanes narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Gators 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hurricanes.
Hampton County took Lake Marion into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-12, 21-25, 19-25, 15-12.
The victory got Hampton County back to even at 2-2-1. As for Lake Marion, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
Coincidentally, Hampton County and Lake Marion will both be playing Whale Branch the next time they take the court. The Gators will head out to face the Warriors at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Hurricanes will host them at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
