Basketball Game Preview: Oak Grove Eagles vs. Wilcox Chargers

Oak Grove is a perfect 3-0 against Wilcox since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Oak Grove Eagles will head out to square off against the Wilcox Chargers at 7:30 p.m. Oak Grove will be strutting in after a victory while Wilcox will be coming in after a loss.

Last Friday, Oak Grove earned a 54-44 win over Ann Sobrato. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Cole Takeda was the offensive standout of the game as he went 6-for-10 on his way to 17 points. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 46.9% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Felix Enow, who posted ten points.

Meanwhile, Wilcox was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 64-56 to Leigh.

Oak Grove's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Wilcox, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.

Oak Grove skirted past Wilcox 64-62 when the teams last played back in March of 2016. Will Oak Grove repeat their success, or does Wilcox have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
