Softball Recap: Shelton Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matches, Shelton finally came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of the East Haven Yellowjackets by a score of 1-0. The Gaels haven't had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Shelton's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for East Haven, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shelton will host Hamden at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Gaels are facing the Green Dragons at the right time seeing as the Green Dragons are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for East Haven, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Hand at 4:00 p.m. The Tigers will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
