Kelvin Taylor, Jeff George Jr. among many sons of former NFL players

Kelvin Taylor has made a name for himself in the annals of Florida high school football as he is the state's all-time leading rusher with 11,418 yards in his five-year varsity career.

However, when Taylor started out he was known more as the "son of former NFL running back Fred Taylor." As such, he is part of a small fraternity of players in the country who have fathers who were former professional athletes.

Here's a look at some of the players along with their famous fathers.

Kelvin Taylor, Glades Day (Belle Glade, Fla.) - Fred Taylor
In his fifth year on the varsity team at Glades Day, Taylor passed legendary Ken Hall of Sugarland (Texas) as the all-time leading rusher in high school history with 11,418 yards. Taylor's mark is not officially recognized by the National Federation of High Schools, but it is a state record in Florida.



Jeff George, Warren Central (Indianapolis) - Jeff George
A junior, George has seen limited duty for Warren Central, which is suffering through an uncharacteristically slow season at 5-6. George has completed 48 of 95 passes for 475 yards and five touchdowns.

Luke Del Rio, Valor Christian (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) - Jack Del Rio
After starting the season 0-2, Valor Christian has won seven straight with Del Rio leading the way. A transfer from the Jacksonville area where his father was coaching with the NFL Jaguars, Del Rio is in his first year at Valor Christian now that his dad is a coach with the Broncos. he has completed 108 of 158 passes for 1,398 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Christian McCaffrey, Valor Christian (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) - Ed McCaffrey
A multi-positional player, McCaffrey is Valor Christian's leading rusher with 636 yards and 13 touchdowns on the year. He is also the leading receiver with 34 catches for 434 yards and eight scores.

J-mar Smith, Meridian (Miss.) - Kenny Smith
Through eight games this season, the 2015 prospect has thrown for 1,218 yards and 12 touchdowns. He has also run for 351 yards and six touchdowns on 84 carries in leading Meridian to a 7-3 regular-season record.

Jake Fruhmorgen, Plant (Tampa, Fla.) - John Fruhmorgen
The 6-foot-4, 235-pound offensive lineman is a member of the Class of 2015 and he could end up at Alabama where his father played.

Dylan Chmura, West (Waukesha, Wis.) - Mark Chmura
The son of a former NFL tight end, Dylan caught 20 passes for 382 yards and six touchdowns as a tight end for West. Chmura came on strong at the end of the year, getting 11 catches and four touchdowns in his final three games.



Marlon Humphrey, Hoover (Ala.) - Bobby Humphrey
Playing for one of the top teams in Alabama, Humphrey is considered one of the nation's top cornerbacks in the Class of 2014.

Joe Horn, Peachtree Ridge (Suwanee, Ga.) - Joe Horn, Sr.
Horn has 22 catches for 240 yards as a receiver for 3-5 Peachtree Ridge this year.

Josh Klecko, Red Bank Catholic (N.J.) - Joe Klecko
A rugged defensive lineman, like his father, Klecko has signed to play at Rutgers next year. A 6-2, 235-pound nose tackle, Josh has a brother Dan who also played in the NFL.

Seth Ryan, Summit (Summit, N.J.) - Rex Ryan
Son of New York Jets coach Rex Ryan, Seth plays wide receiver for Summit, a team that has lost just one game (11-1 in 2011, 8-0 in 2012) in the past two seasons.

Joe Schiano, Berkeley Prep (Tampa, Fla.) - Greg Schiano
Schiano has been serving a four-game suspension for a level 2 unsportsmanlike penalty and is expected to play against Tampa Catholic this week. Prior to his suspension, Schiano had 11 tackles and a fumble recovery.

Jordan Kitna, Lincoln (Tacoma, Wash.) - Jon Kitna
Expected to be a quarterback on the varsity this year as a freshman, Kitna was unable to play varsity ball after the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association ruled it would not grant Kitna a transfer waiver. Kitna is playing JV football this year. Lincoln is coached by Jon Kitna.



Joseph Bosa, St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) - John Bosa
A defensive end at St. Thomas Aquinas, Bosa will play at Ohio State next year.

Troy Vincent Jr., Gilman (Baltimore) - Troy Vincent
A junior standout for one of the top teams in Maryland, Vincent Jr. is considered one of the top cornerbacks in the Class of 2014.

Vincent Testaverde, Jesuit (Tampa, Fla.) - Vinny Testaverde Sr.
The junior has played backup at quarterback most of the season at Jesuit. He has completed 9 of 22 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown.

Torii Hunter Jr, Prosper (Texas) - Torii Hunter Sr.
Hunter has been a big reason prosper is 8-1 on the season. The Notre Dame prospect, who is also a baseball recruit, has caught a team-best 41 passes for 791 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Chad Beebe, Aurora Christian (Ill.) - Don Beebe
Beebe missed most of the season with an injury, but he has still managed to catch 43 passes for 710 yards and 13 touchdowns for Aurora Christian, which is coached by his father Don Beebe.

Steven McNair, Magee (Miss.) - Steve McNair
Playing his first year of football at Magee, the senior running back has rushed for 777 yards and nine touchdowns.



Ray Lewis lll, Lake Mary Prep (Fla.) - Ray Lewis
The Griffins are undefeated at 8-0 thanks in part to the play of Lewis III, who has gained 1,105 yards on 98 carries with 13 touchdowns. He also has 16 catches for 420 yards and three scores, plus 58 tackles and three interceptions on defense.

Cole Langer, Dell Rapids (S.D.) - Jim Langer (grandfather)
The state player of the year in South Dakota as a junior, Langer has rushed for 639 yards and 11 touchdowns this season while adding a team-high 43 tackles on defense.

Todd Kelly Jr., The Webb School (Bell Buckle, Tenn.) - Todd Kelly
A safety prospect in the Class of 2014, Kelly Jr. has also been one of the leading rushers for his team, leading the way to an 8-1 record.

Orlando Brown, Peachtree Ridge (Suwanee, Ga.) - Orlando Brown
A top offensive line recruit in the Class of 2014, Brown towers over opponents at 6-foot-9, 370 pounds.

Paris Atwater, Sherwood (Sandy Spring, Md.) - Steve Atwater
Paris Atwater attended Peachtree Ridge as a sophomore, but he moved north when his father sold his company and settled in Montgomery County. Atwater plays linebacker at Sherwood.

B.J. Nagle, Briarcrest Christian (Eads, Tenn.) - Browning Nagle
A junior quarterback, Nagle has led Briarcrest Christian to a 7-3 record on the season.

Tom Tupa, Brecksville-Broadview Heights (Broadview Heights, Ohio) - Tom Tupa
Tom Tupa ranks as one of the top passers in the country this year with 3,184 yards and 31 touchdowns. While Tupa Sr. was mostly a punter in the NFL, he began his career as a quarterback at Ohio State. He is also the offensive coordinator for Brecksville.



Koy Detmer Jr., Somerset (Texas) - Koy Detmer
Like his father before him, Koy Detmer Jr. plays for his grandfather, Sonny Detmer, at Somerset where he has thrown for 1,400 yards and 20 touchdowns in leading the team to a 6-2 record.
