Softball Recap: Allentown Central Catholic Sets Scoring Season-High Against Nativity BVM

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Allentown Central Catholic). Everything went their way against the Nativity BVM Green Wave on Thursday as they made off with a 16-1 win. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Green Wave recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Jenna Dalrymple 2026 looked comfortable as she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gianna Menecola, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March. Skylar Taylor was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Allentown Central Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Allentown Central Catholic's win bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Nativity BVM, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Allentown Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nativity BVM, they will challenge Shenandoah Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.18 runs per game on average), something the Green Wave will no doubt try to take advantage of.
