Volleyball Recap: George Washington Starts off Right with Win over DSST: Montview + How To Watch

George Washington had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the DSST: Montview Knights by a score of 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row dating back to last season.

George Washington had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-22.

Leading George Washington to victory were Hannah Kenda and Cecilia Aragon. Kenda had eight digs and three aces, while Aragon had 16 digs and three aces. What's more, Kenda posted three assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

DSST: Montview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, George Washington will challenge Aurora Central at 6:30 p.m. on the 4th. As for DSST: Montview, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Kent Denver on the 28th.
