Softball Recap: Leesville Comes Up Short

After soaring to 20 runs the game before, Leesville was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 15-1 to the Eunice Bobcats. The loss continues a trend for the Wampus Cats in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost seven in a row.

Leesville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Eunice, with the victory, they broke their ten-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-13.

Looking ahead, Leesville will challenge Merryville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wampus Cats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Eunice, they will face off against Washington-Marion at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
